About Marilee
Pop and contemporary styles form the bulk of my work alongside technical grade exam prep for ABRSM and Trinity boards. I watch students arrive convinced they are bad at piano when they simply need better posture and hand position. Ear training is essential.
These small habits are what I push on because they compound over time. I started this as a side project years ago and it quietly took over my week. I have worked with 100 students to date. It is satisfying work.

Clarity makes the next hard thing feel more approachable. I provide immediate and specific feedback that might seem blunt but keeps progress moving.
We will work with 8.0 difficulty pieces while I write custom sheet music arrangements for songs you choose. My method relies on the rigour of my Artist Diploma from the Royal Academy of Music.
I emphasise the mechanics of the instrument to build a foundation. You get 10 years of focus applied to your playing. I prioritise the details that most people skip. Do you have a specific goal for your first practice session?
