About Diya

Math has always come quite easily to me, where understanding and working with number has been my strong suit from the age of 5. Having being taught by tutors I understand how one should teach for students to learn and how each students strength differs. Being a student myself, I believe that it is easier for another student to connect and understand concepts easily.

I recently completed the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, where I undertook Mathematics at a Higher Level (Equivalent to 2nd year of university).

I have done the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) in grade ten where I got an A* (highest grade) in International Mathematics.

Along with this, I have participated and won many mathematical competitions over the years such as the American Mathematics Competition and International Mathematics Olympiad.

I am awaiting my IBDP results however based on my performance over the two years I received a predicted grade of 6 (7 being the highest). I have also received offers from quite a lot of prestigious institutions around the world to further my career. University College London (UCL) and University of Birmingham to name a few.

I am quite aware of the different international curriculums along with their mathematics syllabus.

I love mathematics and I believe in teaching something one must be passionate about it. Working with students has always been my strong suit.

I have done the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP), which is regarded as one of the highest level of education in high school.

During this time I chose Mathematics at a higher level (equivalent to 2nd year university), where throughout the two years I has around a 90%.

Along with this in grade 10, I did the IGCSE (cambridge board) where I got an A* (90%) in my board exams.

About the lesson

I would start by understand their strengths and weaknesses. This would be done in two parts where the student would first list out their strengnths and weakness (topic wise) according to them, after which I would conduct a small test to review these strenghts and weaknesses.

While working with a new student it is always important to see to it their foundation in the fundamentals is strong enough to go further.

After which we would sit together and devise a study plan topic wise.

Most people dislike math because they find it though however that is not the case. Mathematics is basic logic that anyone can has however the way the fundamentals are taught to a student is what matters. As if one's fundamentals are not strong going ahead would make it only more difficult and complicated.
