About Shawn
I have about 10 years of flute playing experience and for me, the learning experience never ends. I want my students to feel valued and to know that they can improve and have a positive experience. I want them to feel the joy of making music just like I do. My personal teacher has a Master's Degree in Flute Performance and has been a true mentor for me. I want to pass this mentorship onto my students so they can gain confidence and improve.

I believe that students need positive encouragement and to understand that mistakes are welcome. I place emphasis on proper technique and posture and encourage students in learning scales, long tones, harmonics, studies, etc. My students do require at least 6 months to 1 year of playnig experience. I can teach students up to grade level 4!
