About Paula

I am a vibrant individual shaped by diverse cultural experiences and a passion for creativity. Born in the picturesque Canary Islands, I embarked on an enriching journey studying Film at The New School in New York City, where I delved deep into the art of storytelling and visual expression. For seven transformative years, the bustling streets of New York City became my playground, infusing me with its energy and inspiring my artistic endeavors.

Now residing in the eclectic city of Berlin, I continue to thrive in a melting pot of cultures, embracing the vibrant artistic scene and diverse communities. Beyond my cinematic pursuits, I find joy in an active lifestyle, often found indulging in sports like running, biking, and weightlifting, which invigorate both body and mind. Additionally, my creative spirit finds solace in the strokes of oil painting, where I translate emotions onto canvas, and in the captivating narratives woven through the medium of cinema, fueling my passion for storytelling.

As a multifaceted individual with a love for both the physical and creative realms, I navigate life with an insatiable curiosity and a thirst for new experiences. Whether exploring the pulsating streets of Berlin, immersing myself in the world of film, or pursuing my artistic endeavors, I embrace each moment with enthusiasm and a zest for life.

As a tutor, my approach is dynamic, interactive, and tailored to each student's needs and learning style. I believe in creating a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel confident to engage actively with the Spanish language.

My teaching method combines various techniques such as conversational practice, grammar explanations, vocabulary building exercises, and cultural immersion activities. I incorporate multimedia resources, games, and real-life scenarios to make learning Spanish enjoyable and practical.

A typical lesson plan starts with a brief review of previous concepts before introducing new material. We then dive into interactive exercises and discussions to reinforce understanding. I ensure ample opportunities for students to practice speaking, listening, reading, and writing in Spanish throughout the lesson.

What sets me apart as a tutor is my background as a native Spanish speaker from the Canary Islands. My enthusiasm and energy bring a vibrant touch to every lesson, making the learning experience both enjoyable and authentic. I have a deep understanding of Spanish language and culture, which I integrate into my teaching to provide a well-rounded learning experience.

My lessons cater to students of all levels, from beginners to advanced learners, as well as those preparing for exams or seeking specific language skills for work or travel. Whether you're a college student, professional, or simply someone passionate about learning Spanish, my tutoring sessions are designed to help you achieve your language goals effectively.
