In my role as lecturer in German, I’ve known Eustache since the beginning of his second year at King’s, where he recently graduated with a strong result. Eustache is a curious and critical intellect, who has always aimed to bring a high level of rigor to his studies – while also remaining open to new perspectives and to the input of others. He has always used his detailed understanding of the German language to foster the learning of everyone else in the classroom, and showed interest in stimulating discussion, debate and learning for all – an unusual trait for a student, and which clearly marks him out as an ideal teacher.
