About Chloe

I have worked with children in a voluntary and professional setting for nearly 10 years. I have experience working with a range of additional support needs or behavioural concerns. I underwent teacher training at the University of Stirling, and have since worked as a respite carer, in a residential home, and at a nursery.

I am a patient, supportive and engaging Spanish and ESL tutor who believes language learning should feel practical, interactive and confidence-building. In my lessons, I focus on creating a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable speaking and making mistakes. I structure sessions around clear objectives, combining conversation practice, grammar support, vocabulary building and listening activities. I adapt my teaching style to each learner’s goals — whether that’s exam preparation, travel, professional communication or improving everyday fluency.
I have strong subject knowledge in both Spanish and English language learning, including grammar foundations, pronunciation, sentence structure and conversational fluency. I am familiar with UK curriculum expectations and exam board requirements, and I integrate exam-style practice where appropriate. For ESL learners, I focus on functional language skills — speaking, listening, reading and writing — ensuring students can use English naturally and confidently in real-life situations. For Spanish learners, I balance grammatical accuracy with practical communication, helping students think in the language rather than simply translate.
I have experience working in educational and childcare settings, supporting learners with a range of abilities and backgrounds. This has strengthened my ability to explain concepts clearly, differentiate instruction and build strong rapport. I am particularly skilled at supporting learners who may feel nervous about speaking a new language, helping them gain confidence through structured practice and positive reinforcement.
My aim as a tutor is not only to improve language skills, but to help students feel confident, capable and motivated in their learning journey.
