About Josué
My name is Josué López Mejía, I studied music and I am currently studying psychology. I have worked as a piano teacher for 5 years in private lessons, in local music academies and also virtually. I have had many students and I myself have been a student of this instrument of course, I know how difficult it can be and the challenges you can find. I have understood that a teaching method that makes the student feel frustrated does not work and in the end it only hurts the students because they think they are not capable. Studying music should be a creative experience where the person finds the artist we all have inside, that is where my training in psychology will help me understand you and your learning process where we both will learn a lot of things. I say both because the teacher also learns from the student! I hope you decide to start this path!

This is not a class where you will simply play lessons, the classes will adapt to your musical tastes and also to your way of learning. We will talk about musical genres, music history and if you like it, there will be homework where you will listen to songs or musical pieces. This is a comprehensive musical training method focused on the piano. I will also learn from you if you recommend music you like to me. The final goal of the course is not to learn how to play x or y song/piece (which will happen), the goal is to learn how to express your feelings through the piano and let your creativity run wild. The important thing is that you have fun and love what you do!
