About Marisa
Marisa is a graduate or California State University, Northridge, with her BM in Piano Performance, where she additionally studied piano pedagogy. During her time at CSUN Marisa was awarded multiple scholarships, including the Joan Thompson Scholarship, the Samuel John Swartz Scholarship, and the Colburn Classical Music Scholarship. She additionally was awarded Outstanding Student in Keyboard in 2022, and was the Piano Club President from 2021-2023.
Marisa is currently an active teacher in the Los Angeles area, teaching both in person and online lessons. She is experienced in teaching a wide range of students and levels, and is passionate about creating an inclusive and positive learning environment. She additionally is a member of the Music Teacher’s Association of California.

There is no better time to start learning music than now!
As a piano performance graduate with a strong piano pedagogy education, I‘m able to teach all ages and levels. Each of my students receives lessons tailored to their interests and needs, and will be exposed to many styles of music as they progress.
I also believe a strong foundation in music theory, history, and technique is incredibly important, and students will learn fundamentals of these in their lessons. Additionally if in depth tutoring is wanted in any of these areas, I am more than happy to provide that!
