About Lydia
Hi, I’m Lydia — a passionate musician with over 15 years of experience and an ATCL diploma in Piano Performance from Trinity College London. Music has been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember, and now I get to share that joy through teaching! Whether you're dreaming of playing your favorite songs, preparing for exams, or just want to explore music for the first time, I'm here to guide you every step of the way. My lessons are friendly, creative, and tailored to you — no pressure, just progress at your own pace. I love helping students build solid technique, confidence, and a deep connection to the music they play. My teaching style blends structure with fun, and I bring plenty of encouragement and inspiration to each lesson. Let’s make music something you truly enjoy. I'm an ATCL-certified pianist with over 15 years of experience, offering warm, personalised piano lessons for students of all ages and levels. Whether you're a beginner, returning to piano, or preparing for exams, I tailor each lesson to suit your needs.
My teaching style focuses on classical technique, creativity, and musical expression. Lessons include music theory and are designed to build confidence, strong fundamentals, and a love for music in a calm, supportive environment.
Lessons are available online or in person at my home studio in Cheltenham, New Zealand. Session lengths are typically 30 or 45 minutes, depending on your level and preference.
