About Alma

Hi! I'm a native Spanish speaker from Peru, and I'm currently studying Biochemistry at the University of Limerick. Having grown up speaking Spanish and spent nine years living in the United States, I'm fluent in both Spanish and English and understand the experience of navigating different languages and cultures.

I want to teach Spanish because I enjoy sharing my language and culture with others and helping people develop skills they can use in everyday life. I believe learning a new language should be an enjoyable and rewarding experience, not something intimidating.

As a university student myself, I understand how important it is to have someone who is patient, approachable, and willing to explain things in different ways. My goal is to create a welcoming environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and building their confidence in Spanish!

My lessons are designed to make learning Spanish enjoyable, practical, and tailored to each student's individual needs. Whether you're a complete beginner, looking to improve your conversational skills, or need extra support with schoolwork, I adapt my teaching approach to your goals and learning style.

I focus on building confidence through conversation, vocabulary, grammar, and real-life situations. As a native Spanish speaker, I aim to help students develop a natural understanding of the language while creating a comfortable, encouraging environment where they can learn at their own pace and feel confident making mistakes and asking questions.
