About Sarah Jane

Are you looking for an affordable online chess tutor?

I'm here to help! I am Sarah Jane Sordilla. I am an experienced chess player and chess tutor. I have been playing chess since I was a child—starting in 2011. I am a former Palarong Pambansa chess player, having represented my region in the national competition in 2012, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018.

From 2012 to 2018, I won championships at the Zamboanga Peninsula Regional Athletic Association Meet (ZPRAA Meet) except in 2013, when I earned a bronze medal.

I have been tutoring chess to kids since 2023. Initially, I had no plans of becoming a chess tutor, but someone encouraged me to give it a try. As I gained experience, I discovered how rewarding it is to teach chess to children. Seeing them learn new skills and improve their game brings me genuine joy.

As an experienced chess player and tutor, I aim to make learning chess enjoyable and easy to understand. My lessons are tailored to your skill level and learning pace, helping you develop your understanding of the game, learn useful tactics and make better decisions on the chessboard.

More than just teaching you how to play, I want to help you think critically, stay focused and build confidence. I believe that everyone can improve with the right guidance, patience and practice.
