About Alice

Hi! I’m a native Spanish speaker with a TESL certificate, which means I not only speak Spanish naturally but also understand how people learn new languages. I may be new to formal teaching, but I bring patience, clarity, and a real passion for helping others communicate in Spanish.

My lessons focus on building your skills step by step and then using them in real-life situations, so you feel more confident speaking, listening, and understanding Spanish. I create a relaxed, supportive space where making mistakes is part of learning, and where your progress matters most.

Whether you are an absolute beginner or just want to practice casual conversation, my goal is to make Spanish feel approachable, practical, and enjoyable. About the lesson

I am a native Spanish speaker who loves helping people learn the language in a relaxed and encouraging way.
I have a Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) certificate, so I understand how people learn new languages and how to build their skills step by step.

My teaching methodology and techniques:

I focus on both skill building and skill use. First, we would work on building your skills by learning simple vocabulary, key phrases, and basic grammar in a clear way. Then, we put those skills into practice through real-life situations, so you start using Spanish.
Because of my TESL training, I use simple explanations, repeat important points, and give you different ways to practice (speaking, listening, and short writing). I correct mistakes gently, encourage you to try new phrases, and help you feel more confident using the language.

A typical lesson (45-60 minutes)
- Warm-up activity (5-10 minutes): We chat in Spanish (or a mix of English and Spanish) about your week or something you like.
- Choose a topic (5 minutes): We pick a small theme, like hobbies, food, or travel, and learn 8-12 useful words and phrases.
- Skills building and practice (20-25 minutes): We study and repeat key sentences together. We could also use role-plays and short conversations to help you apply what you have just learned.
- Review and light homework (5-10 minutes): We go over what you have learned.
- I suggest a small task, like writing 3 sentences or listening to a short Spanish video, so you keep building and using your skills between lessons.
