Guitar, banjo, and music theory lessons from an enthusiastic instructor with playing and teaching experience

Perfect! I can't recommend Alex highly enough. I was concerned that with prices this cheap, I may not learn much. However, I learned the basics of 2 songs in only 8 lessons PLUS basic clawhammer techniques. He makes the lessons simple and fun. Alex is flexible and a genuinely nice guy. I'm musically illiterate, and can't carry a tune, so I'm impressed I've come so far so quickly. He also loves teaching music theory so throws that in as needed. After these first 8 lessons, I'm playing "Tom Dooley " fairly well and I know the basics of Cripple Creek, but I need to work on making both songs more smooth in the transitions.
I don't know if I'll ever feel like I've "learned" the banjo, but Alex makes learning the moves and techniques fun, and you feel like you learned difficult moves early and quickly. Plus, he's patient and kind.
