About Amy

I am a recent graduate from Newcastle University with a First class degree in Modern Languages (Spanish and Portuguese) with Translation and Interpreting, giving me an in depth knowledge of Spanish grammar. I also achieved an A* at both A level and GCSE Spanish. I have a TEFL qualification and have four months of teaching experience at an English academy in Spain where I taught ages 6-18 for one on one classes as well as larger full group classes. I also have one on one paid Spanish tutoring experience. In addition, I recently went on a 5 month university study exchange in Brasil. I have also had lots of experience working with young people in my past employment at an English language school in the centre of Leeds and as a Student Ambassador for my University. I am DBS checked.

About the lesson

I can tutor secondary school and A-level Spanish. I can explain all grammar structures and help students work through any exercises. I can improve writing style and help to correct and improve errors in the language. I can give spoken conversation practice, it is especially important for me that the student feels comfortable and not embarrassed about making errors because this is the best way to improve. Creating a friendly relaxed atmosphere with no pressure to be perfect the first time is what I believe is perfect to learn a language.

Perfect! Amy has been an brilliant teacher throughout my time studying with her.
