About Ana

I am NYS Certified Spanish Teacher and a native Spanish speaker. I was born in Venezuela and I love teaching Spanish to my students in a fun and relatable way! My favorite way of teaching is using what my students love and are interested in to get them engaged and begin to thrive without even realizing it!

I love teaching my students and building trusting relationships with each one. I love embracing the individual learning styles and personalities to help them become the best they can be. I enjoy taking the insecurities and doubts of each student and showing them that they are what make them special and unique.

I am a NYS Certified Teacher in Spanish and TESOL(Teaching english to speakers of other languages)

I have a Master's Degree in Education from Molloy College.

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Spanish Language, Literature, and Culture from SUNY Old Westbury.

I am a native Spanish speaker.

About the lesson

I like to begin the process of working with a new student by getting to know who they are beyond their particular need(s). In doing so, I strive to understand who my student is, what their likes/preferences are, lifestyle, routines, etc. which creates a foundation for me as a teacher to work with in a relatable and meaningful way.

I have experience teaching students in several public schools districts on Long Island including Freeport, Valley Stream, and Hicksville as a classroom teacher and student teacher volunteer. Each experience has allowed me the opportunity to teach highly diverse groups of students with varying academic, behavioral and social backgrounds.

Aside from the teacher being appropriately qualified and prepared, the most important factor is whether you as a student feel comfortable enough to be yourself, and safe enough to make mistakes and even fail.
