About Ronald

Honestly, I have not tutored formally outside of my own family members (siblings, cousins) and the Big Brother Big Sister program; however, each of them have noted that I am an exceptional tutor who make understanding difficult concept much easier.

Background: I have extensive corporate finance experience, ranging across a myriad of different functions and industries. This includes credit analysis, investment banking, and equity research. Most importantly, all of these positions require mastery of basic math concepts. In addition, I attended some of the most prestigious universities, focused on finance.

1) I'm an avid fan of math and corporate finance (hard to believe, I know), but I find its nexus of technical and art to be a stimulating subject that should be shared.

2) Based on my experience from multiple sources, I was told that I should consider teaching others who struggle with understanding basic math and corporate finance. I'm open to tutor all ages so long as the attitude is right. I have never had formal teaching experience, but have tutored many one-on-one sessions.

About the lesson

Every student is different so there is no single process. I try to figure out what's the most effective way to get someone interested. Most importantly, I try to communicate why we need to know a concept. Thus, my goal is to paint the bigger picture for my student and connect what we learn to real-world applications.
