About Faheem

I have delivered lectures at different UK universities. I have taught at many London colleges. Now, I am working as a full-time tutor, so I am focusing on private tutoring only. I provide tuition at undergraduate, postgraduate and at professional levels.

About the lesson

I am a qualified professional accountant. I am ACCA qualified. I also have a Master's degree in international accounting from Anglia Ruskin University. I am working as a full-time accounting and finance tutor. I am available seven days a week. I have over 15 years of full-time tutoring experience.

1) When did you develop an interest in your chosen field and in private tutoring?
I was studying for my professional accounting qualification during 2007 to 2009. That's when I developed an interest in private tutoring. I decided to pursue a full-time career in tutoring.
2) Tell us more about the subject you teach, the topics you like to discuss with students (and possibly those you like a little less).
I really enjoy tutoring financial accounting and management accounting. I am also an expert of UK taxation and financial management subjects. When it comes to topics, I'd love to discuss different international financial reporting standards with students.
3) Did you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you?
Of course, I have. I had been tutored by some of the finest accounting and finance tutors. Our tutor, Mr Abeel Ahmed, is no doubt, my source of inspiration. He inspired me to be a full-time accounting and finance tutor.
What do you think are the qualities required to be a good tutor?
First of all, a tutor should have in depth knowledge of his subject. Then, tutor must have excellent communication skills to deliver that knowledge. Tutor must be passionate and well organised.
Provide a valuable anecdote related to your subject or your days at school.
Financial accounting is all about reporting financial results to external readers. Management accounting is focused on planning, decision making and control of business. Corporate finance is about creating wealth for shareholders.
6) What were the difficulties or challenges you faced or still facing in your subject?
I am not facing any particular difficulties. However, every day I learn something new.
7) Do you have a particular passion? Is it teaching in general or an element of the subject or something completely different?
Teaching is my passion. I worked hard to achieve my professional and academic qualifications. Now, helping students to pass their exams, coaching and training them, really make me love my job.

I have in-depth knowledge of my subjects. I have very good communication skills. I have over 12 years of full-time tutoring experience. I am well organised. All these qualities make me a Superprof 😊
