About Roshan
I grew up in a very musical household, which naturally led me to start playing guitar from a young age. I’ve been involved in bands and live performances early on, as well as playing regularly in a church setting, which helped me develop strong timing, musical awareness and confidence playing with others.
Alongside this, I studied classical guitar, which built my technical foundation and understanding of the instrument. This combination of classical training and live band experience allows me to teach both technique and real-world playing skills.

I take a music-first approach to teaching guitar; helping you learn the songs you love while training your ear to pick apart melodies, chords and rhythms, so you can understand and recreate them naturally on the guitar.
Lessons are tailored to each student, but typically include:
Building strong foundations (chords, rhythm, timing)
Understanding scales, fretboard navigation and improvisation
Learning songs you enjoy (funk, pop, jazz, neo-soul, etc.)
Developing technique and confidence for playing solo or with others
For more serious students, I can also guide you through:
Grade exams (beginner to advanced)
Improvisation and soloing
Playing over chord changes (e.g. jazz/blues concepts)
Developing your own style and musicality
A typical lesson is 60 minutes, either face-to-face or online, with clear structure and progression so you always know what you're improving on.
I have over 3 years of teaching experience, alongside performing as a concert and session guitarist, so I bring both technical knowledge and real-world playing insight into every lesson.
My lessons are open to all ages and levels - whether you're picking up the guitar for the first time, returning after a break, or looking to level up your playing.
