About Laura
Colombian born and raised. I have lived in North America for 11 years and moved to NL in 2018 for grad school. Spanish is my native language, and I have a minor in Spanish. I have a full-time job, and I only spend a few hours a week tutoring Spanish. I worked as a Spanish tutor and interpreter while at University. I love languages, interacting with people and teaching.

I have experience teaching Spanish to students from diverse ethnic backgrounds, ages, and professions. I learnt English as a second language in the USA and studied Arabic and Portuguese at University. I love languages, and I believe one of the best ways to learn a language is by interacting with people who speak the language. I like to get to know you and identify your learning style to develop an enjoyable learning plan together. Learning a foreign language can be fun. We can try different methods (book club style, storytelling, translating songs, conversations about any topic you want, playing board games, grammar activities, etc.).

-50% fee for last-minute cancellations or no-shows. First cancellation or no show will not be charged. Cancel at least 5 hours before meeting time to avoid getting charged.
- I will charge a transportation fee if we meet if I need to go outside of downtown St. John's.
