About Alex
The goal of my lessons are to teach students to play whatever songs they want! I don’t believe in teaching boring fillers and forcing twinkle-twinkle before teaching what the heart truly wants to learn. That is silly and I would be discouraged! I get right into it and teach techniques, scales, chord shapes, strum patterns and rhythms, chord names and even a bit of music history where applicable if it helps students shred their favorite songs and enjoy the process while they’re at it!
As a passionate musician myself, I have been performing in bands and playing guitar for over 10 years. I’m 24 years old now, and my journey started in middle school with my first band playing Red Hot Chili Peppers covers. I have since gone on to form projects that have both done touring, and taken the stage in front of some pretty impressive crowds, and I’m not done! In fact, I feel as though my journey is just getting started! And with that ambitious and passionate mindset, I want to help others like me, start their journeys as well! No matter how big or small they plan to make them.
