About Zhiying

I am fully qualified teachers and an experienced 11+ tutor with over 10 years of proven success preparing students for grammar school and independent school entrance exams. I have helped many students gain places at highly competitive schools by building strong foundations in Maths, English, verbal reasoning, and non-verbal reasoning.

My lessons focus not only on subject knowledge, but also on exam techniques, problem-solving strategies, and logical reasoning skills that are essential for success in 11+ assessments. I provide structured, tailored support to help students improve accuracy, speed, confidence, and independent thinking in a positive and encouraging learning environment.

Many of the students, I taught excel in their school works and find the subject is a lot easier to follow when taught at school. They all become much more confident and flourishing at school. All my students have shown the great improvements in short period of time.

My students have also achieved the highest marks in their termly test across the whole year groups.

About the lesson

With over 10 years of successful 11+ tutoring experience, I have helped many students gain entry into top grammar and independent schools. My lessons are carefully tailored to build confidence, strengthen core skills, and develop the exam techniques needed to succeed in competitive entrance exams.

I create engaging and supportive lessons that help students enjoy learning while improving their logical reasoning, problem-solving, accuracy, and speed. Every child is guided step-by-step to reach their full potential in a positive and encouraging environment.

I believe success in the 11+ is not just about working harder, but learning smarter. Through personalised support, proven strategies, and structured preparation, I help students approach exams with confidence and achieve their best possible results.

I was slightly apprehensive about using a tutor recommended on line and did not know what to expect in terms of the quality of the tutorials. However, after 4 one hour sessions I can say that I am extremley pleased with the service provided by Zhiying. During the first session she identified my son's learning needs and set objectives for him to meet and is currently working towards these. . I would definitely recommend Zhiying as a maths tutor. She is an effective teacher and a patient person.

Mrs Zhiying is very patient and finds different ways to explain topics that are not easily understood the first time. After each session my daughter finds that she can tackle even the more complicated questions on that topic. I would recommend Mrs Zhiying and hope she continues to improve our daughter's confidence in maths
