About Michael

My name is Michael, I am a Vermont based Web Designer for 5+ years, with a primary focus in WordPress. I have an A.S. in Computer Systems Management, B.S. in Managing Information Systems and an M.S. in Information Technologies. I do a lot of volunteer work with various organizations across the country, most of which is web design or graphic design based. I have also been tutoring for 3 years online as well. I do most of my work in the WordPress Content management system and it combines the knowledge of both HTML and CSS, along with PHP/MySQL. Because of that I have to keep my skills and knowledge current when it comes to updating or troubleshooting code when a problem might arise or when a client needs to make changes to their websites.

About the lesson

My teaching process is pretty simple, I will walk you through required steps to achieve certain results. While web development is very flexible it takes time before those 20-30 steps become muscle memory and you no longer have to remember what step #15. I do Q & A sessions and so if you have specific questions then I would answer them by showing you what needs to be done or where to go to get more information to get a better understanding of the subject matter.
