About Ryan

Hello potential students and families! My name is Ryan and I am so glad you are considering supplemental academic support. I have been working in this field for some time and I have seen many students reap the benefits.
I am soon graduating with my Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) in Secondary Math Education. During my undergraduate degree in math, I was a university-employed peer educator, tutoring and instructing students outside of their regular class meeting times to improve understanding and academic success. I have curricular and professional training in pedagogical theory and tactics and have amassed several years of experience implementing it with college and high school students, both in the classroom, and through private tutoring.
My high-school relevant qualifications include a 790 on the SAT math section, 5s on many AP tests (Calculus AB & BC, Physics 1 & 2, and more), and selection as a National Merit Scholar.

About the lesson

Every lesson is tailored to the individual student's abilities and needs. We will build confidence in unpracticed concepts and skills and engage with concepts in a way that deepens and extends understanding. I have taught and tutored students at the high school and college level, helping build skills in learning, studying, and academic organization that equip students for ongoing success. I understand how to meet students where they are and how to translate complex concepts into modes of instruction that connect with their learning style.
