About Frederikke

I've studied anthropology at the University of Copenhagen and spanish while I spent a year at the University of los Andes in the capital of Colombia, where I took a certificate in spanish (C1). Currently I teach spanish, but since I am danish and have lived most of my life in Denmark and taken my education in danish, I would be a great danish tutor. I am also interested in music, which I currently use a lot of time on. That also means that I think a great way to learn a new language is to translate the popular songs, as that gives you a straightforward way to understanding the culture - and also improves your day-to-day communication and comprehension. I've always had a great interest in languages and grammar. I try to vary between a focus on grammar, on colloquial communication and expanding the vocabulary.

About the lesson

I'm a young danish woman, that always have had a major interest in languages and grammar. I base my classes on curiosity, trying to expand the students knowledge from where there are. I focus on vocabulary, colloquial communication - having a fluent ongoing conversation- and correct use of grammar and pronunciation. In tutoring danish I support the students confidence in their ability to communicate in danish by creating a good atmosphere where they can develop. I like to bring danish song-lyrics and music into the tutoring if it makes sense. For the purpose of furthering a more fluent and intuitive grasp on the language.

Perfect! Frederikke helped me to achieve my goal of passing a Danish language exam and I am so pleased. She worked really hard with me and the one to one personal attention she gave me was wonderful. She put a lot of effort into working with me and finding out what would help my Danish. She also created an atmosphere (possible even on Zoom!) to make me feel comfortable enough to talk freely and without embarrassment. I can't thank her enough for her energy and enthusiasm. Having had Danish lessons before in a class environment I can say that one to one with a good tutor is much better value for money and you get much more from the hour you spend together. I really do recommend Frederikke and I wish her all the best for her future. Birgit
