About Abigail
Many beginners struggle when they try to memorize lists of words without understanding the underlying rhythm of the language. Picture us sitting down to review your weekly conversation recording together, dissecting the nuances of a recent role play. I guide you through dialogue practice while keeping the focus on natural, everyday usage. This approach works well for those aiming to move beyond basic textbooks.
We look at idioms and expressions as clues into the history of the language itself. Working this way creates a much stronger memory for the material. I personally enjoy hearing the moment when a student starts to think in their new language.

Growing up in a household where Spanish was the heartbeat of every conversation shaped my perspective on teaching. The smell of strong coffee and the sound of flamenco guitar defined my early years. I have taught a wide variety of students over the last decade.
Advanced learners often need someone who understands the nuance between Latin American and Castilian variants. We dig into complex verb conjugations and vocabulary building. Helping you feel comfortable in a professional interview or a casual setting is my main goal. I enjoy seeing students progress from simple phrases to complex dialogue.
