I'm currently training to be an electrician. We may have calculators in our pockets, and AI on our phones, but we still need to know where to plug in the numbers and how to ask the questions. I believe that the critical thinking skills that we gain from solving problems help to keep our minds sharp.

In my opinion, the best way to learn is by doing it. If you understand the logic behind approaching the problem, then it doesn't matter how big or how scary the numbers. Expect a good amount of word problems during lessons.
