About Julia

I am an ambitious, passionate and studious University Student taking pride in my education and academics. I have excelled in my GCSE's and A-Level's studies and want to use my learning journey and experiences to help younger students become successful, grow and learn in order to reach their full potential and be proud of their achievements.
During my Sixth Form and Secondary School days I peer mentored and tutored younger students which allowed me to grow the passion I have for teaching and supporting students. It is rewarding and satisfying to be able to pass on knowledge to others knowing you were part of their educational journey and helped them improve.
Enjoying GCSE Science and performing well in it by getting A*s I want to use what I have learnt and share my techniques to how I managed to maintain these grades.
Just coming out of A-levels and studying Psychology I want to use the opportunity of having everything I learnt still fresh in my mind to start tutoring those starting their A-Level psychology journey. I want to proudly share my revision techniques and use my excellent communication skills to help other students understand the subject better. By doing so learn all the interesting facts and theories that psychology involves.
Being a Sixth Form Prefect and Peer Mentor gave me the opportunity to learn and develop abilities and skills to support and tutor younger students and I want to use these now further.
I also have experience of leading, caring for and supervising young people aged 15-17 years old when working as a NCS Team Leader. This job gave me the experience to manage young people, support them in most suitable way and make sure they enjoy the programme and understand as well as take part in all activities run by NCS and delivered by Team Leaders ( me ). Through this job I have developed and enhanced my leadership, communication and inter personal skills which will be valuable for tutoring. This is because it will help me get to know the student better and be able to interact and tutor them in the style that works best because every individual is different and it is very important to adapt to their needs to help them in an appropriate and successful manner.
I want to be a role model for younger students that they look up to in order to help motivate them to go after their dreams and always to their best and tutoring is a wonderful and rewarding way in doing so.
I enjoy learning new things and like to research interesting topics in my free time especially psychology related however I am also a very active individual passionate about sports and play for leisure this includes basketball, badminton and even skateboarding.
I want to use my capabilities and knowledge to widen the horizons of students determined to improve and excel because supporting others and seeing them succeed puts a smile on my face.
