About Yifan
Hi, I’m Yifan Chen, a recent 2025 HSC graduate and current Civil Engineering student at the University of Technology Sydney. I tutor Year 10, 11 and 12 Mathematics Advanced and Mathematics Extension 1. I achieved an E4 in Mathematics Extension 1 and was recognized in The Sydney Morning Herald HSC Honour Roll. I enjoy teaching because I understand how challenging math can feel, and I want to help students build confidence, improve problem-solving skills, and approach exams with a clearer strategy. My goal is to make difficult concepts easier to understand through patient, step-by-step explanations.

My lessons are focused on helping Year 10–12 students build confidence and improve their understanding of Mathematics Advanced and Extension 1. I explain concepts step by step, work through exam-style questions, and adapt my teaching to each student’s needs. I can help with homework, assessment preparation, past papers, exam technique, and difficult topics such as calculus, functions, vectors and projectile motion. My goal is to make maths feel clearer, more manageable, and less stressful.
