About Roy

Fluency is the natural result of consistent practice mixed with a bit of courage. If you are ready to refine your academic writing or conquer phrasal verbs, I provide the structure you need to move forward with absolute confidence.

I draw on my 13 years of experience to create a custom study plan for your goals, ensuring that every session is built around your unique needs. We will focus on idioms, everyday conversation, and email composition to ensure you can express yourself in any situation.

Because I hold a Master of Arts in TESOL, I can explain complex grammar rules through simple, clear, and direct explanations. Many of my students, including those preparing for exams, find that our focus on speaking confidence makes them feel much more at home in their new surroundings. I personally enjoy the collaborative process of refining your letter writing until every word feels perfectly placed.

You will discover that academic writing and professional communication become much easier when we tackle them step by step. Growth is most enjoyable when you can see your own progress unfolding in real time.

About the lesson

Educated in French and working in English, I sometimes forget that standard classroom methods can feel incredibly isolating for new arrivals. My Master of Arts in TESOL from Université de Montréal allows me to bridge that gap with structural precision and warmth. I have supported 93 students over my career, helping everyone from university applicants to immigrants navigate the complexities of a new linguistic landscape.

Because I spent my early years in Paris, I understand the challenge of adapting to a different professional and social environment. It is a genuine privilege to watch intermediate learners and TOEFL candidates expand their horizons through my guidance. I find immense satisfaction in helping others build the tools they need to communicate effectively in their daily lives. Seeing a student achieve total independence in their writing and speaking is why I remain dedicated to this field.
