About Mayank

Hi, I'm Mayank!

I’ve been playing this game since 2008 and turned pro in 2016. During that time, I logged 3 million+ hands online, competed at the highest stakes available in India, and represented the Gujarat team in Seasons 1 and 2 of the Poker Sports League (PSL).

Over the past 5+ years, I've coached more than 60 students. They ranged from recreational players to full-time professionals.

Before poker, I graduated from IIT Roorkee, worked in tech and product companies, and later co-founded a music startup.

About the lesson

What my students say:

1. "Working with Mayank has been a game-changer. His structured approach helped me build a solid strategy, making a huge difference in my confidence and execution at the tables."

2. "Mayank's guidance has been invaluable in boosting my understanding and performance. He knows exactly how much to push you for maximum growth without overburdening you."

3. "The simplicity with which Mayank approaches the game and his emphasis on the 'why' behind every decision make learning poker interesting and fun."

4. “Mayank is your man if you want to understand Poker from ABC and not jargon alone.”

What kind of players do I coach?
Whether you're a recreational player looking to beat your local games, an aspiring professional aiming to move up in stakes, or someone who simply wants to understand poker at a much deeper level, my coaching is tailored to your current skill level and goals.

What Results Can You Expect?
Most students leave the very first session with a clearer understanding of where they're leaking money and what to work on next. Over multiple sessions, the goal is to help you progress from beginner to intermediate, or from intermediate to advanced, while becoming increasingly independent in your study process.

My ultimate goal is that you eventually don't need me anymore. I want you to become a profitable, confident, and self-sufficient player who knows how to keep improving on your own.

What's my coaching style and what you'll learn?
My coaching combines theoretical principles with practical exploitative strategies that work against real opponents.

I don't believe in asking students to memorize anything. I focus on helping you understand the reasoning behind every decision so that you can continue improving long after our sessions.

Every session is interactive and customized to your needs. Depending on your goals, we may review hand histories, study specific situations, discuss core strategic concepts, identify leaks in your game, or work through practical exercises.

Mayank is not only a successful player himself but also a very good teacher. The way he breaks down poker into independent decision points and helps you understand the best course of action is impeccable, whether it is being in your senses pre-flop or extracting the full value post-flop.

One of the most successful high-stakes crushers the country has seen, and I genuinely believe that's been largely possible because of his love for the game and the rock-solid mindset he brings to it. His work ethic and appetite for learning are unparalleled. The way he breaks down complex concepts into simple, easy-to-grasp ideas is a treat to experience, and it's what makes him such an incredible coach. Easily one of the top 3 coaches you could ever get.
