About Julianna
"Do you ever find that specific verb conjugations or regional nuances in Spanish make your head spin? My background includes a BA in Modern and Medieval Languages from Cambridge and a PGCE.
Over 13 years, I have successfully guided 208 students through various levels of study. My practice now centres on the needs of working professionals, advanced learners, and those preparing for exams like the DELE or DELF. I emphasise reading comprehension and building a robust vocabulary to handle real-world contexts.

"Many learners struggle because they try to memorise lists of words instead of internalising the cultural context behind those phrases. You should actually focus less on vocabulary lists and more on the specific everyday phrases that mirror how native speakers interact.
My approach draws on a Cambridge degree and 13 years of experience to bridge the gap between textbook Spanish and the language as it is spoken in the street. We will start with a diagnostic level test before we build the plan for your specific objectives. Role play and dialogue practice form the foundation of our time together to ensure you can think on your feet.
It is vital to move away from rigid scripts so that you can navigate travel scenarios with genuine confidence. I personally find that this level of preparation is what separates good students from truly exceptional ones."
