About Skye

With over 8 years of experience and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Collaborative Piano and Chamber Music, I provide tailored piano lessons for students of all levels. My approach is hands-on, supportive, and focused on helping each student reach their musical goals.

I specialize in pop piano arranging, modern chord voicings, and playing by ear for popular songs. Students learn to create expressive arrangements, improvise, and interpret music creatively. I make lessons engaging, interactive, and fun.

My teaching experience spans pop, rock, R&B, and contemporary worship. Lessons focus on both technical skill and musicality, helping students develop confidence in their playing. I encourage students to explore improvisation, harmonies, and musical expression.

Whether beginners or advanced students, my goal is to make the piano accessible and enjoyable. Together, we work on technique, creativity, and real-world music applications. I welcome students to join me and explore the exciting world of popular music on the piano.

About the lesson

I focus on helping students become confident and fluent sight-readers. My lessons include sight-reading exercises, speed reading music, interval recognition, and rhythmic precision. Each lesson develops visual-to-finger coordination and reading accuracy.

I work with child prodigies and hobbyist adults, tailoring exercises to their level. Students practice identifying intervals, reading rhythms, and translating notation into precise finger movements. I combine technical drills with real musical examples.

Lessons progress gradually, reinforcing pattern recognition and anticipation skills. Students develop the ability to read new pieces confidently and maintain consistent timing. Exercises for both hands improve coordination and independence.

The aim is to make sight-reading a natural and enjoyable skill. Students gain confidence, accuracy, and musical understanding. Together, we unlock the ability to play new music at first sight.
