About Brenda
I have taught middle school math and science for the past 18 years. I have taught chemistry and algebra in high school. I have tutored some former students, and parents through college algebra requirements. I am familiar with common core requirements for 6th-8th grade math, as well as algebra and geometry.

I engage with students to discover where deficits are, and help fill in gaps. I ask lots of questions and although I will demonstrate process, I support the student through each problem until the student can complete problems on their own. I am patient and will repeat lessons in varied ways until students understand.
