About the lesson

My approach is centered around the concept of "comprehensible input," a language teaching method that emphasizes exposing learners to language they can understand, even if they haven't fully mastered it yet. This approach helps students develop their language skills naturally, just as they learned their native language as children.

My typical lesson plan revolves around using stories as a fundamental tool to teach French. These stories are short and easily understandable, enabling students to grasp the language in a context that makes sense to them. I incorporate lots of repetition, which reinforces vocabulary and grammar structures, and use visuals to aid in comprehension and retention. This combination of techniques ensures that students stay engaged and actively participate in the learning process.

My personal experience in language learning allows me to empathize with my students' struggles and tailor my teaching methods to suit their needs effectively. I started learning English in elementary school and French in middle school.

My lessons are specifically designed for middle school and high school students. By focusing on this age group, I can target the unique challenges and interests of adolescents, making the learning experience more relatable and enjoyable for them.
