About Scout

I am a dedicated piano tutor with 9 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Music in Collaborative Piano. My teaching approach emphasizes critical thinking, musicality, and individualized learning tailored to each student’s goals. I believe in holistic development, integrating music theory, ear training, history, and technical skills into every lesson. I have worked with students from Early Intermediate to Advanced Intermediate levels, as well as aspiring professionals and expert musicians. Each lesson is designed to challenge, inspire, and nurture both skill and creativity. I focus on developing confident performers who can interpret music thoughtfully and expressively. Beyond technique, I encourage curiosity and a deeper understanding of music as an art form. Lessons balance structured practice with imaginative exploration, fostering a lifelong appreciation for piano. My goal is to make learning engaging, rewarding, and aligned with each student’s unique strengths. I warmly invite students to begin their musical journey with confidence and creativity. About the lesson

My teaching approach focuses on helping students develop both skill and confidence at the piano. I emphasize sight reading to ensure students can approach any piece with ease and independence. Improvisation is also central, allowing learners to explore creativity while understanding musical structure.

I use progress tracking to set clear goals and celebrate achievements, keeping lessons motivating and focused. I guide students preparing for exams with structured techniques, helping them master repertoire and perform with confidence.
