About Susan

You will find that the rhythm of language comes to life when you view it through the lens of art and melody. My background in music means I emphasise the literal sound of your vocabulary. Listening practice becomes an exercise in hearing the hidden structures of the language.

We spend time on role play to ensure you feel prepared for business or travel settings. You will receive detailed feedback on your mock DELF papers to track progress. It is genuinely enjoyable to watch the connection between sound and meaning finally click for a learner.

About the lesson

Adults and professionals often arrive at my door seeking a bridge between their current skills and the reality of relocating. I spent 13 years refining how language is taught. My own training involves an MMus Voice and a degree in Modern Languages. I have taught 600 students how to navigate the complex nasal sounds of native speech.

These sessions are built on the idea that language is a physical act. Practising dialogue helps you mimic the rhythm of French culture. Sometimes I think of myself as a cultural technician rather than a tutor. I love finding the exact nuance in a vowel.
