About Latifa

I am a student myself and I can understand the challenges of schoolwork. It may be intimidating to ask and answer questions in class but that is okay - that is why tutors are here! I always make sure to allow my students to express their strengths and weaknesses and it is my promise to help you overcome this. I have been a tutor for 1 year and one of my favourite things about this job is watching my students grow both academically and socially. The key to success is to have faith in yourself and to never give up and that is my motto when tutoring my students :)

About the lesson

My lessons are a safe space for all students where they are able to work at a comfortable pace to the best of their ability. My teaching techniques include following requirements of exam board specifications and modifying this to a format that is easy for students to understand. A typical tuition lesson lasts 1 hour and includes a brief introduction on topic, an explanation on this, showcasing a model on how to answer key questions and allowing students to try answer similar questions to the model to boost confidence. After, this work will be marked with the student and feedback on strengths and weaknesses will be made - homework will be set similar to the lesson so students become more independent and is marked at the start of the next lesson as knowledge recall. I have been a tutor for 1 year and have worked with students ranging from ages 4-16 for SATs and GCSEs.
