About Poppy

As the founder and principal of a British Council–accredited private English language school in Oxford (2007–2020), I specialised in delivering high-quality instruction for the full Cambridge English suite (A2 Key to C2 Proficiency), as well as GRE preparation and academic IELTS. I now work exclusively with individuals online, providing tailored one-to-one tutoring.

I have supported numerous students in securing places on postgraduate programmes at the University of Oxford and other leading Russell Group institutions, particularly those in London. In addition, I have extensive experience assisting postgraduate students with coursework and dissertations, including proofreading and academic guidance, to help them achieve outstanding results.

My expertise also includes preparing students for professional and academic interviews, refining presentation structure and delivery, and developing clear, confident pronunciation. I am committed to helping learners reach their goals with clarity, confidence, and excellence.

Hello, I’m Poppy. I served as the principal of an Oxford-based English language school since 2007, and now I specialise in providing personalised online English lessons. I work with students who are pursuing academic pathways or have specific professional goals.
