About Karen
Technical fluency is the ultimate goal. I admit that debugging code in front of a student is occasionally awkward, but it demonstrates the actual problem-solving process. We iterate through project-based tasks using APIs to build working backend services.
My 11 years of experience means I have seen almost every common syntax error and logical trap. Mock technical interviews are a core part of the process for students nearing job applications. This prepares you for the high-pressure environment of actual industry reviews.

Coding by the dim blue light of a dual monitor setup is how I spent my early university nights. That initial focus on building backend architecture evolved into 11 years of experience across various complex systems. I work with students needing fundamentals as well as those targeting top CS degrees. Developing a hybrid perspective from my data science and economics degree helps me bridge technical logic with business requirements.
My teaching style is methodical and rooted in real-world application for my 300 students. I treat every project as a production-level challenge to ensure you learn professional habits. Understanding the nuance between C++ and JavaScript is only the start of the journey. I often use SQL and databases to explain how data flows through modern digital infrastructures.
