Hi! I am Miranda and I am a 15 year old who is proficient in English and Mathematics. I wanted a part-time job that was helpful to the community while having an opportunity to hone my skills as well. Tutoring in English and Mathematics would be beneficial to both parties because I am most knowledgeable in these subjects as I get A's in both subjects continuously and studies have shown that students working with a “young” tutor improves their ability to learn as “young” tutors understand their needs and they are much more relatable.

English: Students have been struggling to write a sentence, but under my tutelage they managed to write detailed essays in under 10 weeks!

Mathematics: Walking in confused, I always make sure to break down steps and guide them emotionally and supportively to help my students grasp concepts.

About the lesson

I will combat your weaknesses by providing exercises that will progressively get harder over the weeks, developing skills while still fostering a patient and kind environment to ensure you/your child will reach their best potential in English and Mathematics.

My lessons will be 1-2 hours long (depending on your needs!) and my lessons are for K-9 students who need assistance in English, particularly

- reading/comprehension
- essay/persuasive/creative writing
- spelling/grammar.

K-6 students who need assistance in Math will be well suited with me. In our lessons, we would go through

- problem solving
- working out
- introducing concepts and familiarise themselves so your child can be successful

As I take on leadership roles such as class leader, student representative council and peer support during my years of high school, I have developed a helpful and joyous personality as I got to communicate and converse to help my classmates in their schoolwork. With my experience and outcomes from leadership, I can apply this to my craft in tutoring and ensure you/your child will have a positive outlook on learning and a successful academic pursuit.
