About Arya

Hello My future students,
My name is ARYA, I'm 24 years 24-year-old Persian man. I'm in the second year of my direct PhD program at UBC. Direct PhD means that I got accepted to a PhD directly from my Bachelor's degree. My research focuses on Quantum mechanics and analysis of joint density of states in amorphous silicon. I'm calm and supportive and I will try my best to help you reach your goals.

I've been a TA at UBC (Okanagan campus) for the courses below, so if you need help with them or other first and second-year courses, I'm here for you. Even if you're a high school student, don't worry, I got you in math and physics.

About the lesson

I've been tutoring for the past 6 years and I like what I do. I focus on teaching concepts to you and giving you a deep understanding of the material.
I don't use too many formulas because you will eventually forget them and you can't use them much. Here, I teach how to fish instead of giving you a fish.

I start by breaking down the material for you in the most simple terms that you can understand, I will give you real-world examples of what we're doing to help you understand it better. Then when we approach questions, I will solve them for you and will give you a step-by-step guideline on how to do things and how to identify the important hints. After that it's your turn, you will try to solve similar questions and I'm there to help you out. Most of my student will solve their question with my help and they gain a confidence that is so nice to see.
And then you're ready to fight your battles yourself, many friends!
