About Louise

Hi! I'm Louise, 24, from Belgium. Languages have been my thing for as long as I can remember. Right now I speak French, English, Dutch, a bit of Chinese and I'm slowly picking up Spanish and Korean.

Outside of languages, you'll usually find me doing yoga, listening to music, watching films, or planning the next trip. I love art, I love animals, and I love meeting new people, which is honestly half the reason I teach.

I've been taking online classes myself for a while now, and what I like most about them is the people. You get to learn from someone completely different from you, hear how they see things, and get a little window into their culture along the way.

That's the atmosphere I try to create in my own lessons: relaxed, curious, creative, and a safe space to make mistakes and learn. Having a real conversation is what makes this platform special and different from AI tools or other apps (even if those can be useful too). I think human contact matters a lot when you're learning a language, and I'd be happy to share those moments with you.

I lived in Hong Kong for almost two years, which taught me a lot about starting from zero in a new place and about how much patience it takes to learn a language properly. So if you're nervous about your level, I promise I get it. But don't worry, everyone starts somewhere and trying is already the best thing you can do. I'd be really happy to meet you :)

About the lesson

I have a Bachelor's in Translation-Interpreting (French-English) and a Master's in Multilingual Communication (English), plus a 200-hour TEFL diploma (Teaching English as a Foreign Language).

I spent a year and a half teaching French (private lessons) and English at a private school in Hong Kong, working with students from age 2 to 16, assessing their level, building a curriculum around it, and keeping lessons lively enough that they actually wanted to come back.

My method is conversation first. Grammar matters, of course, but it sticks much better when you meet it inside a sentence you actually needed to say. I can build each course around your goals: an exam, a job interview, a move abroad, or simply the confidence to speak without rehearsing every sentence in your head first.

Who these lessons are for:
Absolute beginners to advanced speakers, children, teenagers, students, and professionals. I teach in French, English, and Dutch, so I can explain a tricky rule in the language you're most comfortable in. Don't worry, the first lessons are far less intimidating than you think! Just try and see, it's already enough!
