About Kathleen

Hi there! I am a student success coach who loves working with teens and young adults as a champion in their corner, positioning them to succeed at life, school, and everything in between. I am a licensed educator and certified life coach.

My students range from middle-schoolers to college age young adults. I work with reluctant learners, ADHD creatives, and the directionless to find their own solutions within themselves.

I have a BS in Education and Masters Work in Curriculum & Design with a focus on Howard Gardner's multiple intelligences theory.

As a master teacher, I helped open and create a year-round, multi-age, kindergarten-8th grade school in the Chicagoland area in addition to managing extracurricular activities and all-school learning days. I was a classroom teacher for 10 years with at-risk students, low readers, and ADHD students.

Since then, I have devoted myself to working with students in the areas of executive function coaching, life skills, personal coaching, accountability, English tutoring, brainstorming goals, job hunting, college prep and academic achievement.

Lover of dogs, karaoke in my car, reality tv and the Green Bay Packers!

About the lesson

*Our first free session will be about getting to know one another discovering if we are a good match. You will share your goals, concerns, and interests while I listen for ways to confirm my skill set matches your needs.

*Follow up sessions will be focused on goals we highlighted from initial session. Simplify and clarify is the name of the game. Goals will be broken down into bite size pieces to set you up for successful completion of each step.

*Executive function strategies like task initiation, time management, focus, working memory, and organization, planning etc. will be emphasized/introduced/reviewed creating firm foundations to build momentum.

*Accountability is key. Our sessions will review prior plans, reflect on progress, and pivot where needed.

*Progress over perfection is my motto. Celebration of wins - big and small- all matter with me. Together, all things are possible

*With humor, grace, and common sense, I'll get you started, give you strategies/systems, and grow your self-confidence.

*This is your show. I'm on your team!!
