About Linda

I am… - an award-winning writer, editor and independent publisher from Barbados known as The Summer Storyteller. - a literacy and literary activist - an advocate of independent and self-directed learning - a firm believer that out of play and joy comes learning I love… - books and words and ideas. - learning and helping others to do the same in a safe, fun and welcoming space. I believe… Everyone has a story to tell about themselves and the world around them. The Summer Storyteller is here to help guide those stories out!

About the lesson

I encourage… - creative self-expression in young learners to help grow their self-confidence, self-awareness and awareness of the world around them - young learners and beginner writers to tap into the things they know, love and are eager to learn more about Sessions include: - storytelling with an emphasis on stories promoting diversity, inclusion, anti-racism and deeper understanding of world cultures. - reading, writing (poetry, stories, personal essays) - show & tell and art activity I tutor & tell stories to humans aged 7+ years, in one-on-one and family/group settings. Lessons are online and run from 45 to 90 minutes
