About Me
I am a dedicated tutor with one year of hands-on experience as a Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT), working closely with children with special needs in academic settings. In my role, I have consistently assisted students with their daily schoolwork, including math, by breaking down lessons into manageable steps and adapting instruction to meet each learner’s individual needs.
My background as an RBT has equipped me with effective, evidence-based strategies that support learning, focus, and confidence. I understand that academic challenges—especially in math—are often tied to frustration, attention difficulties, or lack of confidence. Using behavioral techniques such as positive reinforcement, structured guidance, and clear expectations, I help students stay engaged and motivated while building essential academic skills.
I am especially skilled at working with students who need extra patience, structure, and encouragement. My experience supporting special needs children allows me to create a calm, supportive learning environment where students feel safe to ask questions, make mistakes, and grow. I prioritize individualized instruction and adjust my approach based on how each student learns best.
As a tutor, my goal is not only to help students complete assignments, but to help them understand the material, build independence, and gain confidence in their abilities.
