About Jacy

I have over 10 years of experience teaching violin and hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Violin Performance. I love working with young children, using playful and age-appropriate strategies that make learning fun. Storytelling, rhythm games, and movement are key parts of my lessons, helping children develop technique and musicianship naturally. I use simple melodies that engage students and build their confidence step by step. My teaching is inspired by Suzuki and Kodály methods, which emphasize listening, repetition, and a nurturing environment. These approaches help children absorb music in a way that feels joyful and creative. I believe every child can enjoy playing the violin when lessons are imaginative and encouraging. My goal is to make each lesson a positive experience that sparks a lifelong love of music. Watching my students grow in skill and confidence is truly rewarding. I’m excited to share the magic of the violin with your child and make learning an adventure.

About the lesson

My teaching method focuses on building strong fundamentals while encouraging creativity and confidence. I emphasize rhythm precision to help students play with steady timing and flow. Ensemble skills are an important part of my lessons, helping students listen and blend with others. We explore classical repertoire to develop technique and musical expression.

Creative improvisation is also encouraged, allowing students to experiment and find their own musical voice. I support learners at all levels, especially those returning to music or looking to build confidence through steady progress. My approach is patient and personalized, focusing on each student’s goals.

I believe that violin playing is not just about notes but about storytelling through music. I help students gain control, flexibility, and expressiveness in their playing. Regular practice with structured guidance builds skill and motivation.
