About Zane

I’m passionate about helping guitarists bring their artistry to life. With 6 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Arts in Music Theory with a Guitar Specialization, I guide players toward a well-rounded understanding of their instrument. My approach focuses on more than just notes — we go deep into the fundamentals of music production and audio engineering for guitarists. This includes tone shaping, effects pedal usage, microphone placement, and home recording techniques. I’m proud to work with players at many different levels, from Early Intermediate to Advanced Intermediate, as well as Professional and Expert sessions. My aim is to empower you to sculpt your own sound and bring your musical ideas to a new level of creativity. We’ll combine strong technique with a rich understanding of production, making your recordings truly reflect your artistic expression. I believe that every guitarist can grow and elevate their playing with the right guidance and support. Let’s collaborate and bring your unique voice forward — the world is waiting to hear your creativity.

About the lesson

My teaching approach focuses on helping you become a fluent and confident guitarist through strong reading skills. I guide you step by step to read standard notation, tablature, and rhythm notation with ease. This lets you learn new songs faster and perform them more accurately. I also include sight-reading exercises to aid your ability to follow sheet music on the spot. We’ll work together to connect reading to your own creativity and expression. My method prepares you to perform in many musical settings, from classical concerts to jazz sessions. I’m passionate about turning difficult notation into something simple and clear for you. With my support, you’ll grow from a struggling reader into a fluent musician. This means you can appreciate, learn, and perform a much wider range of repertoire. Let’s unlock the world of written music together and make your guitar playing even more rewarding.
