About Tess

With over 10 years of experience teaching violin, I have had the privilege to guide around 300 students from high school and college levels. My passion for music and education drives me to help each student discover their unique voice through the violin. I believe that learning music is not just about playing notes but about expressing emotions and building confidence, which I encourage in every lesson. Throughout my career, I have celebrated many milestones, including students winning local competitions and performing in important recitals. These successes reflect the hard work and dedication we share during lessons. My teaching approach focuses on creating a positive and supportive environment where students feel motivated to reach their full potential. I am committed to making violin lessons inspiring and enjoyable. I tailor my teaching to each student’s needs, helping them grow technically and artistically. Beyond violin, I also help students with music theory and performance skills to build a complete musical foundation. Teaching is more than a job for me — it is a fulfilling journey that I am passionate about every day.

About the lesson

My teaching methodology for violin centers around strong communication, empathy, and positivity. I believe clear communication helps students understand concepts better and express themselves through music. I always listen carefully to each student’s needs and challenges, which allows me to tailor lessons to their individual pace and style. This empathetic approach creates a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel confident to grow.

Positivity plays a big role in my teaching. I celebrate every small success and encourage students to enjoy their musical journey. This motivates them to stay committed and overcome difficulties with a positive mindset. I also use creative exercises to keep lessons fun and engaging, helping students develop both technical skills and a love for music.

Besides violin, I can teach related subjects such as music theory and ear training. These complement violin lessons and help students become well-rounded musicians. My approach ensures students not only learn to play the violin but also understand music deeply, making their learning meaningful and enjoyable.
