About Preston

With over 9 years of experience teaching piano both in-person and online, I bring a thoughtful and flexible approach to every lesson. I hold a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance with a focus in Pedagogy, which grounds my teaching in both artistry and educational method. My philosophy centres on building sight-reading fluency, deepening score analysis, and unlocking expressive interpretation in complex classical repertoire. About the lesson

My teaching approach blends traditional piano skills with modern music technology. I help students use digital pianos, synthesisers, and DAWs to expand their musical world. We explore basic recording techniques, layering, and sound shaping to give your music a professional edge. I work especially well with Classical Performers and Child Prodigies who are curious about the electronic side of piano. You’ll learn how to connect your instrument to software, build tracks, and perform with a wider sound palette. Technique and expression remain at the core, but we also dive into how tools like MIDI and effects can enhance your playing. Each session balances structure and exploration. I give clear guidance while allowing space for experimentation and fun. Together, we’ll push boundaries and discover what your piano can truly do.
