30 year music industry veteran DJ.
Ableton Live user and coach since 2004.
Deep musical knowledge and experience across dozens of genres and subgenres. I love to teach and share my experience with interested parties. Let's start or continue your musical journey together!

About the lesson

No 2 students are identical - i will work to get to know your unique needs and goals and help identify where you are on your personal journey in music. While I can do the most for beginners with no previous experience, amateurs and professionals alike are welcome in my class! I love to share my love for and knowledge in DJ culture and music as well as technology and production and performance techniques of modern music.

His notable background includes helping to found an run a collective of DJ artists that have performed in Chicago for years. Though he is less involved, "Ill Measures" is still a known entity in Chicago. He also worked as a performer with a noted contemporary composer when he was Artist in Residence for the Chicago Symphony and The Kennedy Center in DC. He continues to work with this same composer to develop and sponsor a series in the San Francisco area that produces four events a year of combined classical and electronic instrumentation. However, his most important quality for this work is that he is an exceptional teacher with the skills and patience to nurture the evolving interest of people who are exploring electronic music for both personal and professional interests.
